Hotel review: London’s original hipster hotel still has the X factor - and it's coming to Dublin

With a Hoxton hotel set to open in Dublin later this year, we check into the brand’s first venture in London’s Shoreditch

The Hoxton was hipster central in the mid-2000s. Though widely known today, the brand’s first edition coincided with London’s Shoreditch cementing itself as one of the locations for twentysomethings to socialise and gather.

This gentrification took hold as creatives and artists took advantage of the ample warehouse space in the area, and nods to that recent history are seen all over the original Hoxton, with metal and piping accents, unfinished wood and dark and moody colours used throughout the rooms.
