Britain's Got Talent's Ant and Dec announce huge schedule shake-up for next week

Ant and Dec have announced a huge show change for next week's Britain's Got Talent

Britain's Got Talent is set for a major shakeup next week, as revealed by hosts Ant and Dec during the conclusion of Saturday's third live semi-final.

The dynamic duo informed viewers: "That's it from us but we'll be here next Sunday. Yes, it's Sunday night at 7pm!" adding cheerfully: "Thank you for watching, see you next Sunday night!"

The much-loved talent show will deviate from its usual schedule to make way for the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final 2025, which will broadcast on Saturday 17 May at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

This means that the ITV show's semi-final won't air on its regular slot to avoid clashing with the musical extravaganza.

In addition, the Live FA Cup Final is also scheduled for Saturday 17 May, with coverage running from 3pm until 7:15pm on ITV and ITV X, causing further conflicts with Britain's Got Talent's standard 7pm start.

Fans took to Twitter, now X, to voice their opinions on the programming changes. One viewer remarked: "With the Eurovision grand final happening next Saturday, Semi-Final 4 will be on next Sunday instead. #BGT", reports Belfast Live.

Meanwhile, another user wondered: "@BGT Howcome BGT is on Sunday next week when all that will be shown on the Saturday is Deal Or No Deal and Beat The Chasers? #BGT", to which a different fan replied: "It's because of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025."

Saturday's spectacle saw performances from a lineup including Albert Amores, Bao Cuong, Electric Umbrella, Harry and Lewis, Jasmine Rice, Mickey Callisto, Ping Pong Pang, and RuMac taking the stage.

The acts moving forward to the final were revealed to be Jasmine Rice, who had previously won judge Bruno Tonioli's Golden Buzzer, and Ping Pong Pang.

However, the excitement of the live semi-final was marred for some viewers, who took to social media to express their frustration with the overly enthusiastic audience.

The constant cheering, booing and applause often drowned out the judges' comments and the performances themselves, prompting one viewer to plead: "Dear Audience Pipe down please Many thanks Everyone #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

Others shared similar sentiments, with one writing: "BRUH SHUT UP AUDIENCE #bgt", and another commenting: "Audience shut up. My ears can't handle you screaming! #BGT".

The audience's loud cheering also drove another viewer to tweet: "@BGT #BGT The audience are driving me insane..... shut up! ! ! ! ! ! ! !", while a fellow fan added: "This is why I can't stand the audience at these live shows #BGT."
