Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Returns for Third Season on July 17, New Teaser Trailer Released

Paramount+ announced that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will return for its highly anticipated third season on Thursday, July 17 on the streamer. Season 3 will debut with two new episodes. A new teaser trailer for Season 3 was also released and is available below.

The new series will stream on Paramount+ in international markets where the service is available. Following the premiere, new episodes will debut weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale for the ten-episode season dropping on Thursday, September 11. Additionally, Paramount+ previously announced that the show was renewed for a fourth season, which is currently in production.

Season 3 reconnects with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Pike (Anson Mount), picking up where things left off as the crew was facing a harrowing encounter with the Gorn. New life and civilizations await, along with a villain that will test the crew’s grit and resolve. The new season will take the characters both new and beloved to new heights, and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other series in the saga.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment. The series stars Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn. Guest stars for Season 3 include Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano, and Carol Kane, plus special guest star Paul Wesley.

Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners for Season 3. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are the executive producers.

The first two seasons are streaming now on Paramount+.
