Gavin Adcock has been in the headlines plenty of late.

The former college football player and rising country music star was busted going 103 mph in Tennessee last month, and the subsequent arrest got his name out there pretty good.

There is also a video of him — although it was apparently from 2024 — circulating on social media on Monday that was interesting. Actually, it was kind of amazing because, in the clip, the defensive lineman was onstage with his shirt off. That is when a beer can came screaming in from the left side of the screen and smacked loudly off his cheek.

Adcock paused and then said, “Aight, this song is about talking (expletive), and I’m about to come out there and beat your fat (expletive).”

The fans roared with approval as the singer got fired up.

“I ain’t (expletive) playing,’ Adcock continued before running off a string of expletives toward a fan that can’t be seen in the crowd.

“And your mama (expletive) hates you,” he said before jumping right into the next song.

So, again, that one got more than 11,000 likes on The Country Wire’s Facebook page Monday, but it apparently took place a while ago. Considering how hard that can smacked off his face, it is surprising that Adcock was able to recover and keep on as quickly as he did.

The singer explained his arrest last month with a post on X.

“I bought my dream car … a 1973 Dodge Challenger,” the young singer wrote in a post he shared to X.“Over the past few months I’ve been putting money inti it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving going 103 in Wilson County, TN.”

Adcock was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Oconee just after 11 p.m. His bond was set at $1,000, and he was released from jail just after 4:30 a.m. the next morning, according to reports.

Taste of Country reported that Adcock, a 26-year-old native of Georgia, previously said on Twitter that he went to jail once because of a “suspended license.”

Adcock played college football for Georgia Southern, but the Savannah Morning News said he was removed from the team in 2021 after a viral video showed him standing atop a moving bus while chugging a beer before a game.
